Red Hat Network Tour
Screenshot Tour of Red Hat Network
The following screenshots provide examples of functionality in each of the Red Hat Network modules:
Update - Errata Information
More than just package delivery, the RHN Update Module gives you full errata and detailed information, helping you understand the "how" and "why" of maintaining your machines.
Systems Grouping
Develop groups of systems for easy administration and maintenance. Maintain several systems at once rather than administering each system individually. Updating an entire group of systems is as quick and easy as updating a single system.
Administrator Permissions
You can assign roles to administrators to give them the least amount of privilege necessary. Also, group your systems according to your needs and then assign permissions to different administrators. This allows your organization to distribute the maintenance of systems to different groups, while upholding security guidelines.
Scheduled Updates
Schedule a certain errata update for a system or group, allowing your organization to take advantage of scheduled downtime for errata maintenance if desired. Or, avoid manual updates completely with Auto Update - setting your servers to automatically pull down the latest errata as soon as it is available.
Kickstart configuration writer
Write Kickstart configuration scripts with our tool, or point to an existing system and have RHN create a script based on that system.
Existing state provisioning
Easily perform on-the-fly provisioning of your system with the simple point and click of a button.
Configuration management
Avoid manually having to perform configuration management to each system. Easily configure text files for individual or groups of systems. Combine with Kickstart actions to enable a complete provisioning action.
Multi-state rollback
Multi-state rollback allows your system to return to a previous state or configuration instantly. No more manual removing of packages, trying to remember preexisting configurations, or using rollback through multiple iterations. Red Hat Network records these states for you and makes the process quick and easy.
Monitoring probes
Quickly create a monitoring probe that can track system, network, log, or application information.
Probe suites
Quickly deploy many probes to many systems. Probe suites are powerful tools that can save the time spent creating and configuring the same probes across systems.
Monitoring status
Instantly see the performance of your systems. Email and pager notifications can be used to alert you when systems reach your warning or critical thresholds.
Probe reports
View the performance of your systems over time with graphing capabilities inside Red Hat Network. You can spot performance trends and take corrective action before issues arise.
